I forgot about this one, the M-202 FLASH. Boy!, what a let-down ! Its a 4 shot, reloadable rocket launcher that fires white phosphorus (WP) rockets and was intended to be a replacement for flamethrowers. I shot some of the last ones. The rockets had problems with leaking WP if stored too long and several fires occurred but where kept quiet from the civilian news media. Anyway, the thing looked like a box with 4 holes in the front of it and it had a crude optical sight on the side of it. Rate of fire was fast for a rocket-system and was fast and easy to reload. Aside from that, The thing bad about it was the rockets were very inaccurate beyond 200m and were quite ineffective.
I had always been impressed with the WP hand grenade but this was another animal altogether. Each rocket would put down a little fire about the same size and shape of a common coffee table.Then, it would burn for about 30 secounds or so and that was all.I felt REAL cheated on that one!
