Accuracy of the AK-47

I have a bulgarian SLR-95 AK 47, the receiver is milled, chrome lined barrel, Im having trouble getting a decent grouping at 100 yards. Could it be the ammo? or is it just the way these weapons fire. I shoot my friends AR 15 and had no problems with a good group at the same disstance...any pointers would help>>>>>>
