AK74 question & ...WTB Romanian AK74 mags

Here we go again. This is probably the last time I'll post about rebarreling my AK74- it's almost boxed up and shipped out. But...My gunsmith told me he could save me $100.00 in parts(bulg. front sight assy and muzzle brake) by turning down the Bulgarian replacement barrel's front end so that it would accept the Romanian front sight assy that I already bought before my Romanian barrel pitted. Would turning the barrel's outer diameter hurt accuracy? He tells me it won't. This is the last thing to pop up before I send my 74 off to get well again. I'd appreciate ANY opinions about this. Thanks.
ALSO, would anyone be willing to part with a few of those Romanian AK74 mags that Forrest Inc. ran out of? email me at alientwo@hitter.net . I'd really appreciate it!!
