Well, I got my new sight post on order, it will be in my hands tuesday. The old sight post was
very easy to remove due to Mr. Tantal's help. The pins were very easy to knock out from the
operating handle side of the rifle , towards the mounting rail side of the rifle. It took about 3
taps using a rubber mallet and the punch pin provided with the cleaning kit.
I first tried to knock it off with the mallet but , it woudnt budge! So, taking Tantals advice,
I took my dremel tool to it. It FELL OFF!!!! as Tantal stated it would-(I was amazed!) It must
have been held on by tension not the pins! I am very sorry I pounded on it. I hope I didnt mess
anything up! I scrached the outer part of the muzzle crown! I shoulda listened to ya!
Now Tantal, you said I would have to make slots for the new pins. My rifle already has
dorsal slots in it. Will the old slots fit the new post? My rifle is a Romak-2 the post is a K-var
Romainian make. Also, for your informaion, the post came ready to mount with detent and
sight for $45.00 no pins were included so I got some in case of an emergency.

As for Mr.Martin H., I am very impressed at how easy this is to do and it is very fast work.
Removal took 5min with the proper tools. Although I have no idea how long or how hard
installation will be, I think I can recommend this to you. I'll keep you posted on my progerss!
