Due to being too slow, I missed out on getting original black steel ak74 mags from a North Carolina company, and also missed getting some synthetic plum colored ak74 mags that Tom Forrest had for sale out of California , he had about 700-800, and they went in about 10-12 weeks. Do any of you great guys have any of these two types you could sell me a couple of? I have plenty of the german orange bakelite types, but I have some alternative funiture for my rifle - a dark maroon russian heat shielded fore-arm, and a great U.S. made side folder by the old
Stock Options Inc. firm.On request, the sent me for free, a new aluminum block which threads inside, because the block that normally comes with them is drilled for the dimensions of the Chinese AK rifle tang.
I just carefully measured the center to center hole dimensions, and , away we went! the reason I want some alternative mags is because the rifle looks silly with the orange mags in this configuration. Usually, I just keep it looking like the 1st russian variant with the light colored laminated stocks, but everyone likes a change now & then . So, once again, any leads on the two other style AK74 mags would be appreciated.
