Hi,

I am wanting to do the exact same thing as you mentioned to my Romanian AK. Can you give me any tips? I also ground off the weld (on the bottom of the site base) with my dremmel, tried turning both cw & ccw with no avail. I can't even get it to budge. Did you ever get yours off?
