I bought a used Norinco Mak-90 in 223 cal. The rifle is very
accurate and operates smoothly untill I fire about 20 rounds or more.
After that I start getting miss fires. When I inspect the miss fired round
I notice the primer only has a slight dimple from the firing pin, where as
the fired rounds have a hole in the primer where the firing pin hit. I
disassembled the rifle and noticed the firing pin was stuck in the bolt.
When I removed the firing pin and spring I notices small pieces of metel
falling out of the firing pin hole in the bolt. It appears that small pieces of
the primer are fouling my firing pin. Has anyone experienced this before?
I'm using Russian 223 ammo. Is this a problem with the rifle/ammo or both?
