Hey all!
Received the Rom. AK74 front sight assy and muzzle brake today.
Installed ok but it took cutting the old front sight assy off the bbl.. The
new assy was driven on and holes drilled for the pins, the holes lined up
with the old groovcs in the bbl. The new sight assy is identical to the old
one( with the exception of the threads of course) and has pilot holes partially
drilled for the pins. I ground down the bayo lug and TIG welded the brake on
just "in case". As someone here told me, The Rom. brake is smaller in dia. with
smaller threads than the Russky. It also looks like it is simplified without the
small holes facing forward in the rectangular cutouts. Will probably try it out
Fri or Monday, will let you know how it works.
