Are you allowed to make an adapter for the SA2000 which would enable it to recieve the typical 30rd AK/MAK-90 style magazines? I am sure this would help the sales of you rifles and very much please your customers.

Bill,

I to have an SA 2000 and am very pleased with its performance. I have been getting 1.5"- 2" groups at 150 yards and thats free handed in a crouch. Not to shabby for an AK. I have had one jam in 1,000 rounds, which I atributed to the magazine not the weapon. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about the magazine capacity issue. KBI had to modify the reciever and manufacture Proprietary magazines in order to meet the ATF standards and import the weapon. You cannot leagaly modify the gun or magazine. I don't think you would have much luck anyway the only way I can think of would be to buy another reciever that accepts hi-cap mags. and install it. You can buy magazines for the gun through KBI Inc. but they will cost you. They are $35.00 each, I bought three. It wont take long at that price to have more money in Mags than you do in the gun.
I have their phone number and if you want it I can email it to you when I get to my home computer and check my files. A quick internet search of KBI and the SA 2000 will get you the same information.

IF you ask me the 10 round mags are not that big of a handy
cap as long as you have a few of them handy. I've always
been more a fan of the slow controled fire approach rather
than the Army's "Mad Minute" anyway.

Let me know if I can be of any further assistance
