I just got a new catalog from Tennessee Guns (423-577-1939), and they are offering Czech NSP-2 night vision scopes, with Warsaw Pact type railmounts for the AK! These look to be old-style infrared type NV, with a spotlight mounted on top.
These look to be pretty neat accessories. I've seen them offered by Gun Parts in SGN, but without a guarantee that they would work, so I didn't buy one. Tennessee Guns is selling them for $395.95 in various used condition, or for +$50 more in handpicked like new condition.
If I had the spare change, I'd be picking one up. Anyone have any knowlege about these? When were they issued? How well do they work?
Hopefully they actually have these in stock...last time Tennessee Guns sent me saving my pennies (for pre-ban config AK-74, with American parts), it turned out they didn't actually have them, and they never materialized at all.
