use of AK-47

    I am currently writing a fiction novel. One of the
characters is a 'terrorist' who uses an AK-47. I chose this
weapon as I once heard that an AK-47 is the choice of
terrorists because it is so reliable and will work under
many conditions - desert, mud, etc. Any helpful comments,
or links to useful sites, would be most appreciated.
