AK COLLECTORS MUTUAL FUND
 Author: MrG February 16, 1999 at 09:53:32
As an AK collector, I would love to keep up with the latest
styles and traditional past materials and furniture that
make our pre-ban and class 3 AK's original and original
looking. ...But as we all know the parts we can use are
difficult to obtain and rare in occurance-here in the
United States. However, in the CIS and colocated Ukraine
these items/parts are plentiful and inexpensive or cost
effective for the US collector/consumer.

Therefore I propose if we can maintain a
group/consortium/membership of at least twenty five (25)
persons who are willing to purchase en masse, as a group 25
of any item, we can have someone like Val Shilen purchase
and deliver each item that we agree

to obtain as a group. Each part or parts set would have to be purchased
in orders of 25 or more. This is an idea I believe would work and satisfy our collective desire to maintain our
specific AK collections. I believe the

most any part or part set should not exceed a ceiling of
$300.00, so none of us would be required to shell out real
money at anytime....For example if we all wanted plastic
dragunov fixed stocks....25 of us would provide someone
like Val Shilen $3750.00 in US Dollars...and he would
obtain the minimum order of 25 and we would be

happier than pigs in their native element. So you get the idea...we
form a minimum order group and agree on one item a month to keep our supplier working and our collections placated. Let me know what you think about this!
