Hello there, I have purchased a 7.62x54 rifle a couple of years ago, I just wanted it as a spare rifle for hunting but when I tried it out I really liked it and now I want to use it as my main hunting rifle but I an having a hard time finding ammo for that gun I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and I've seached everywhere and to no avail have I been able to have sucess, so what I was wondering is if I were to take my gun to a gunsmith would he beable to convert my bolt action to eject. 308 centerfire rounds from a common ammo manufacturer instead of the tapered rimmed shells that I have to fire now. This rifle has Remington Armory stamped on it and 1917 I don't know if that might help you or not. Thank you for your time and I hope that you might beable to help me. |
