Hey everyone, Just posting this because I haven't seen anyone mention it. I am in CA, have a Tigr went to shoot and noticed someone else had one with a flash suppressor. New it was not original. Took a look and noticed it was as FAL flashider. Asked the rifle owner and he confirmed. He said he took one of the non-threaded, slipover flash suppressors, moved back the front sight, sleeved it over and brazed it. Very good workmanship overall, though he indicated that the hardest part was lining up the bore with the suppressor so to ensure that bullets passed clean thru. Otherwise you may get jacket shavings on the inside of the exit hole. For those of you worried about the legality of the suppressor, DSA makes and exact replica of an FAL FH without the cut-outs. I wanted to ask him to do mine, but I already have a gunsmith I know who I will mention it to. If he can do it, I will have it done. |
