Sorry, I don't know where to get an adapter.

I use a 3 volt lithium battary from Radio Shack in my scope and it works fine. It fits a little tight.
I would highly recommend upgrading the scope. I used the 4x scope for a little while, but had trouble at the range. I bought an 8x42 PSO scope from Tantal with the ajustable focas. The focas helps since I have to remove my corrective glasses while using the rubber eye piece. The 8X power helps with >100 yard shooting.

Once you get your 0 set on both of these scopes, you can
switch them back and forth depending on your shooting
application/range for the day.
