Been following the threads and have read several 'WTB SVD stock sets' posts. Parts for SVD and NDM's are nearly impossible to acquire from what I've been reading. I have a NDM86 and have been thinking about having a wood stock made up to increase the OAL shoulder stock length(and preserve my original from wear and tear). My friend owns a tool and die shop and has some CNC equipment. Is there any interest in a USA made wood(birch?) stock set? or are you guys only interested in genuine stuff? I haven't approached my friend on this subject but if there is enough interest it might be worthwhile for him. The costs to program the CNC mill wouuld be high but like I said if there is a market for this item he might do it. I wouldn't expect it to be an exact duplicate(with removeable cheekrest)and would probably have raise a comb(similar to Romak3). Don't know if NDM stock fits a SVD either.
Those of you that think they might be interested please post a reponse -good or bad. This could all be pie in the sky dreaming but anything is possible. If PvtPyle reads this is thissomething that you could sell?
