	I second the last opinion. The issue is not 54R vs. 308. The issue is using soft commercial (especially Federal match) primers instead of the hard military primers these rifles were designed for. I currently have a NDM-86 in 308 and so far I have been having good luck using CCI 34 primers, but I'm thinking about getting the firing pin mod. just to be safe rather than sorry. Kim
