I just put buffers on my AK's to protect my investment and because it just makes sense that the metal on metal impact on recoil can't possibly be a good thing. Maybe it's hype, maybe not. Since my Russian Dragunov cost more than any of my other guns, I wonder if there is such a thing as a Dragunov buffer available out there? Since the spring is mounted in the receiver cover unlike the AK or SKS, I also wonder how such a buffer would be installed. Finally, does anyone know how to remove the spring from the receiver cover? I tried, but didn't want to force it. I know Paladin Press is due to come out with an English version of the SVD manual in early July, but thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks Albert.
