Ok, here is one for the mechanics. When cleaning my Romak III this weekend I discovered that the gas piston is screwed into the bolt carrier off center. It is more noticeable when sighting over the back of the bolt carrier and down the axis of the carrier and piston. It looks like it is canted to the left of the axis centerline. It fires ok but it just does not look right. When the bolt carrier moves forward into battery (under hand pressure without the recoil spring) it feels like there is a bit of a bind before the bolt locks into place. Is there anyone in the group that has experience in removing the gas pistons and straightening them? Can they even be straightened?
