I just got all the accesories for the Romak I'll be receiving soon (see my post below). Part of the trade package is a older Russian PSOP 4x24 and a newer Russian PSOP 8x42. First, the bulb in the older one is burnt out. It's the older-style 2.5v bulb. It seems to work fine with the 3v bulb out of the newer scope. When I order a new bulb, can I just get a few 3v's for both scopes, so I can have extras lying around, or should I order a few of both voltages? I found a source for both types at $4.99 & $5.99 a piece. I guess I'm asking if running the older scope with a 3v will have detrimental affects on the scope in the long run... Next, the older scope has a Russian battery in it. It also has a lead cap to convert it to accept "AA" batteries. I'd rather keep the original configuration with the Russian battery, so what is it and where can I get some extras? Something tells me the Wal-Mart employee will probably just give me a funny look if I asked for a Russian battery like this one... The markings on the old battery say "2 PII 63 2,5B 0,55a-y Coxpah. 18 mec". BTW - these two scopes are the coolest things I've seen in awhile!!! |
