Got my ndm-86!...in .308

I finally got it last nite. It seems in Va. you have to
prove you are an american citizen (i.e. passport, birth
certificate), in addition to the normal checks. I have
always wanted one of these things since I saw my 1st one 12
years ago. I must say the fit and finish are alot better
than I thought I would get. But still not that great. I
have seen worse on other norinco imports however so I'm
happy. Not overly impressed with the scope however. I can't
hardly see the reticle. Is this normal? I looked thru scope
indoors and out. Outside is only a little bit better than
inside. To me it should be easier to see. You guys that
have bayonets. What kind are they? I have heard an ak-74
bayonet will fit these guns. Is this correct? Going to the
range this weekend (can't hardly wait) with 168 gr. black
hills, and federal 168 gr.(thanx Berg). I will post my
results later. I alsp wanted to say to everyone on this
board...Thank you. I have only been hanging around for less
than a month, but have learned so much by reading all of
your posts. Again many thanks. In parting... I have had
many military weapons over the last 12 years. When I pulled
this one out of the box my girlfriend said it was a beaut.
She has never commented on any of my weapons before. She
also said it looks like something SATAN would carry. Kinda
funny, seeing how she doesn't know my user ID. Thank you
