I have been pondering a solution for the short buttstock problem since I bought my NDM-86 a month ago. I am 6'3" and it has been most uncomfortable. I have noticed, on this board, that the MAS-36 Extension is a solution. Here is another. Did anyone realize that the buttplate on an NDM-86 is the exact dimensions as the SKS? That's right! I just proved it with a 1" extension I had on my Romanian SKS. The only difference is the size of the screws(screw head needs to be wider or use a washer and screw needs to be a little longer. No problem there. 50 cents at Lowe's will take care of that. This means NDM-86 owners and potentially other SVD's can have a choice of 1",1.5", and 2" extensions! Comments welcome! Cheers!
