Welp. Went to the range today with my new Drag, NDM86 in 308 with some cobbed together loads using Winchester 147FMJ and H4895 powder and LC match brass. I am impressed. This rifle is every bit as good as and in some ways better than the best M1A I ever owned. This baby can shoot. I shot several 5 shot groups no larger than a quarter at 100 yards.
But unlike other rifles, this one was really quirky about how it was held. When shot from prone off a Hoppes Benchrest gizmo it did very well. I zeroed the scope for that setup and got my best groups. When shot from a sling supported prone position the torque I put on the forend had me 8" or so to the left of the point of impact from the bench rest. Trying prone without the sling and using the left hand to support the forend it shot 6" or so low compared to the point of impact off the rest. Seated was also low, but only about 4" or so.
Which brings me to my point. How in the world do you zero one of these things if it bounces all over the place like that?
Capable of incredible accuracy for a semi auto rifle, but cannot get that accuracy consistently. Suggestions?

Thanks, Gregory.
