Do you have an SKS Sporter assault weapon? If so, did you
know that effective January 1, 2000, your rifle becomes
illegal in California and you must do one of the following?

1) Get money for your SKS by contacting the Torrance Police
Department Range for an appointment. You will be given a
reimbursement voucher for $230.00 from the Department of
Justice.

2) Sell it to a properly licensed assault weapons dealer.

3) Render your rifle permanently inoperable.

4) Remove it permanently from California.
